Kilohana General Information
Kilohana Adult Day Care Program will be open Monday – Friday from 7:30AM to 5:30PM. The program will be open on Saturday if the demand is adequate.
The person responsible for the care of the client is expected to make his or her own arrangements for door-to-door transportation to and from program.
The program requests that clients NOT be brought to the program before 7:30AM, and that clients be picked up by 5:30PM. If a client is delayed or absent, the caregiver/family members should notify the program by 7:30AM.
Clients using the Handi-van are expected to have alternate plans when the Handi-van does not arrive for pick-up on time. The program may request authorization by the caregiver/family to call a taxi, in the event the caregiver/family is unable to pick up the client. The fare will be included on the monthly bill.
For an additional fee, clients may be dropped off between 7:00AM and 7:30AM and picked up between 5:35PM and 6:00PM.
If caregivers or family members repeatedly (more than 3 times in a month) pick up clients after 6:00pm, it may result in the disrenrollment of the client in the program.
Continental Breakfast. (7:30AM – 8:30AM) A continental breakfast will offered consisting of juice, milk, cereal, fruits and oatmeal.
Lunch. (11:30AM – 12:30PM) A hot lunch will be provided. Special diets available include “No Concentrated Sweets,” “1800 Calorie ADA,” “1500 Calorie ADA,” and “Low Sodium.”
Dinner. (4:30PM – 5:30PM) A hot dinner is available. Special diets available include the same as offered at lunch.
Snacks. A morning and an afternoon snack are provided.
Clients are provided two meals during the day. If a third meal is selected, an additional cost is incurred. (See Rate Schedule).
